MIDDLEBURY, IN - Doug Routledge, author of "Waking the World" will be visiting Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana, to conduct an autograph session. Mr. Routledge, of rural Michigan, wrote and illustrated the book to inspire children to find their own special talents to impact the world.
Surrounded by sadness in a world where candy and ice cream supplies have vanished and helping little old ladies cross the street is illegal, Rickety Bitick Cricket sets our to prove he can change the world. Rickety has dreams to make a difference through his special talent; chirping! Well versed in speaking and motivating, Routledge brings to life the story of Rickety. When he fails to wake the entire world, Rickety succeeds at setting off a chain of events that makes a major difference.
Routledge and his wife, Dawn, launched Crossroads Farm in rural Michigan as a training and sending organization. Each year they train youth workers who are interested in doing ministry in rural communities. Released in April, 2013, "Waking the World" will be available to purchase in the restaurant building during the author's visit.
Mr. Routledge will be conducting his autograph session, answering questions, discussing life experiences and inspirations for his story during his visit to the property. Doug Routledge will be visiting the restaurant building July 3rd from 11am until1pm.
