Welcome to the Essenhaus!

Bob & Sue Miller, Founders

Das Dutchman Essenhaus is an ideal place to experience the time-honored tradition of sharing a meal together. The owners and founders, Bob and Sue Miller, have worked diligently to create a pleasant surprise in Northern Indiana Amish Country. Family, neighbors and friends are welcome to pull up a chair and savor the authentic (generations-old) family recipes served since 1971. Browse through the distinctive gift shops and stores filled with unique treasures, select your favorite treats in the bountiful bakery, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride or stroll down the paved walking paths before settling in for a peaceful night or two at the charming inn.

Our entire staff is dedicated to providing each guest a wholesome environment, warm hospitality, outstanding service and consistent quality. We welcome the opportunity to interact with our guests and help make the time they spend with us memorable, peaceful and pleasant.
