Dawdy Haus is Dutch for ‘Grandparents House’. Typically, this smaller home is built beside the main house on an Amish family farm and used as the eldest generation’s residence. Quaint and inviting, this traditional and authentic Dawdy Haus has been converted to offer another lodging option ideal for a private retreat, family reunion or small group gathering. You may rent just one or all six delightfully renovated guest rooms.
A short walking distance from the Inn, there are six standard rooms; five with one queen bed and one with two queen beds. Each guest rooms offers:
- An individual washroom;
- television;
- hair dryer; and
- coffee maker
Guests at the Dawdy Haus have access to all the common areas at the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center.
