This comedy-drama was written by Paul McCusker, director, writer and producer of the Adventures in Odyssey radio series for "Focus on the Family". Join us for this memorable performance that deals with a son and his family who must decide what to do with 80-year-old Pap whose strength may be failing, but whose mind is as sharp as the proverbial tack. Humor and sentiments are nicely combined in this two-act play. The captivating local cast will laugh and cry their way through life's struggles. Nine different performance times will be offered over a four-week period in August; every Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7pm beginning Tuesday, August 1st and running through Friday, August 29th.
Produced by special arrangement with Lillenas Publishing Co.

In a culture full of girls and young women seeking to conform to unrealistic perceptions of beauty, Lexi breaks the mold. Audiences leave feeling they've just connected with a real girl who shares her doubts, fears and dreams openly and honestly. Her desire to share the love of God with the world is coupled with her calling to speak life into a generation of girls who need to be told that they are not alone. She is a genuine girl with genuine music that everyone can identify with.

Hailing from Buchanan, Michigan, the Balos Family is a tightknit family of nine. They travel extensively playing bluegrass gospel music together. Their musical journey began with two of the children taking violin lessons. Soon after picking up their new hobby, everyone in the family was playing some sort of musical instrument. Since playing their first concert outside their home church in 2002, they have been recognized for their gifts and talents. The Balos Family are members of the IBMA, Bluegrass Gospel Association, Niles Bluegrass Hall of Fame and have served as cohosts for the Bean Blossom Gospel Bluegrass Jubilee.
One of the most entertaining bands from Westerville, Ohio, Lonesome Meadow combines talented vocals and brilliant instrumentals to the delight of their audiences across the United States. Their Kentucky roots shine through in their rich sibling harmonies and amazing instrumentation. In just a few short years, they have entertained audiences from Canada to Florida. Not only do they play traditional and progressive bluegrass, they also perform their own original tunes!
BYRD & STREET
With harmonies “tight like the Everly Brothers” and Kathy’s sweet pure voice, a perfect contrast to Tommy’s earthy soulful sounds, Byrd & Street have been making music together since 2001. Their music, described as “real Americana done with integrity and soul”, is a rich blend of award-winning original songs and covers by “greats” including Hank Williams, John Prine, Townes VanZandt, Cyndi Lauper and Peggy Lee.
THE SPECIAL CONSENSUS
A superb bluegrass outfit in a classic vein but with modern sensibilities to attract every ear! The Special Consensus delivers spotless vocals and instrumentals as bright as a newly minted penny. Music like they play is the reason why people fall in love with bluegrass. In March, 2014, The Special Consensus recorded, “Country Boy: A Bluegrass Tribute to John Denver” with many award winning bluegrass artist friends to make it a very “special” release. This concert is part of the 40th Anniversary Nation-Wide Tour of The Special Consensus.
DON'T KICK THE TURKEYS
A full-length comedy with a message! On Reverend Thompson's third day as pastor of New Hope Church, his secretary lays down the laws of the office, the janitor is "fixing" everything in sight, the most prestigious member of the congregation is on the war path and an eccentric lay-person presents some far out ideas for Sunday morning's special. The calamity and humor escalate when a daycare moves into the church after the pipes in their own building burst. Can God work in such a situation? Alongside the laughs are striking similarities to almost every church. Not only will your fellow church members be rolling with laughter, they will be touched at the message behind the apparent chaos. Written by Andy and Jennifer Hansen. Don’t Kick the Turkey’s is presented by special arrangement with Lillenas Publishing Co. Directed by Kevin Eyer.
The action is set in Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done. Helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle, the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town's rich curmudgeon, Ouiser, an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee and the local social leader, M'Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby, is about to marry a "good ole boy." Filled with hilarious repartee, the play takes a sudden turn when they are forced to deal with death. Facing their mortality, each life is affected but they draw close as they rely on strength and love as they come to grips with their loss. The friendships stay strong…in good times and bad. Written by Robert Harling. Steel Magnolias is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. Directed by Kevin Eyer.
Is he folk, gospel, country or pop? What type of music does he play? The answer is simple: all of the above. This edgy singer/songwriter has been developing his brand of Kentucky Fried Pop in the local scene of central Kentucky for a decade. With influences ranging from Steve Earle to Third Day, Reardon has developed a sound that is uniquely him. Reardon is an artist with a deep passion for faith in God who is finding himself and coming into his own.
The Trinity River Band is an Americana, bluegrass and acoustic roots band from Callahan, Florida. They burst onto the national acoustic music scene in just six short years. Tracing their beginnings to performances in their local churches in 2008, they went to full-time touring in 2011 and quickly gained a devoted following nationwide. There’s no better harmony than that of a family band whose harmony blends perfectly. The group includes Mike Harris (guitar, lead & harmony vocals), Lisa Harris (bass, harmony vocals), Josh Harris (banjo, dobro, harmony vocals), Brianna Harris (fiddle) and the lead singer and mandolinist, Sarah Harris, 2013 IBMA Momentum Award Nominee in the Vocalist of the Year Category. Their highly anticipated sixth CD was released in April, 2014.
Driving down the road on a hot summer afternoon back in 2004, Tim Woods heard the voice of the Lord. He said it sounded like God was sitting right in the cab of his truck with him. That voice was calling him back to the music ministry and Tim feels that God laid on his heart to put an all-male quartet together. The Woodsmen Quartet have been traveling and singing since Tim received this message. They have shared the stage with the best in gospel music; The Kingsmen, Signature Sound and Dove Brothers among others. Most important to this ministry are the lives that have been touched from a grandmother who needs a healing touch to the Master Physician and everyone in between. The Woodsmen love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
