We’ve created an abundant selection of affordable outdoor recreational activities for every member of the family. Flexible and convenient, they all allow you the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Amish country in the beautiful serenity of the great outdoors!
| Bicycle Rentals Bicycles are now available for rent! Park your car and take a leisurely ride throughout the scenic Amish countryside. We have several routes mapped out for you so you're able to pre-determine your ride. Bikes may be reserved at the Sunshine Farm Miniature Golf Course located on C.R. 16 (Wayne Street) across the road from the main Essenhaus campus. Included in the bicycle rental fee; a local map with marked routes, helmets, locks, and a removable basket for your jacket, bottle of water, camera, sunscreen and other essentials. |

| Exercise Paths
We have created exquisite jogging and walking paths around our colorful and carefully manicured grounds. As you wind around the peaceful pond, you may hear the clip-clop of horses’ hooves, the gentle hum of our windmill, or a flock of Canada geese returning to the nearby Elkhart River. |

| Miniature Golf Enjoy good wholesome fun for everyone! Play 18 holes of miniature golf then wrap up your afternoon by savoring your favorite hand-dipped ice cream. Our miniature golf course is ideal for families, friends, church groups or clubs looking for outdoor recreation. |

| Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides While visiting Middlebury and Das Dutchman Essenhaus, you may want to consider taking a relaxing, scenic and informative horse-drawn carriage ride. Rides are available to all our guests for a nominal fee. Our experienced carriage drivers are happy to share information about the Amish culture, the history of our property, and give you inside tips on other fun stops to make in our area. |
