Credit Card Protection
The Essenhaus understands that an enjoyable shopping experience must be safe and secure. When you place an order with us, your information is processed in a secure environment through the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. All of your personal and credit card information is encrypted before it is transmitted to us over the Internet.
Since some Web browsers do not permit secure connections, we recommend that our customers visit us through the use of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 or 8, or Mozilla Firefox. These browsers are optimized to take advantage of the SSL technology. When using Microsoft Internet Explorer you can be sure that you have established a secure connection when the browser displays a closed "lock" icon in the bottom, left-hand corner of the screen. Mozilla Firefox informs you of a secure connection by placing a solid "lock" icon in the bottom, left-hand corner of your browser window.
All items are shipped using UPS ground unless otherwise noted.
Orders will multiple items will be packaged and shipped together. Some orders may take several shipments to complete depending on the combined weight of the items. This is automatically calculated in your shipping cost.
While you need not be home to receive a UPS delivery, you must inspect your order and report any damage or defect within 24 - 72 hours of delivery. Please see the section on Inspecting Your Delivery for more information.
Larger items mayl need to be shipped alone. If you have several items in your order in addition to the large item, they will be shipped in a separate package.
Shipping timeframes will vary. We will make every attempt to ship your item within 5 business days of ordering. Please know that we will do our best to expedite your order, but usually cannot guarantee an exact delivery day.
Inspecting Your Delivery
The Essenhaus offers quality products and makes every effort to ensure that these products are packaged well. Despite these precautions, the possibility does exist that your order may arrive with minor transit damage, or, in rare instances, with a minor manufacturing defect. Thus, it is imperative that you inspect your order and contact us immediately if it is damaged so we can rectify the matter.
When you make a report of damage or defect to The Essenhaus Customer Service department, we will take immediate action to remedy the situation. Do NOT assemble or further unpack defective furniture. All items must be packaged back into its original shipping containers for return to us. Please save the original packaging materials.
Incorrect Product Shipped
Our Customer Service team is in constant communication to ensure that the product you ordered is delivered to your satisfaction in the style/size/color/finish you selected. If, upon inspection, you discover that the incorrect product has been shipped to you, please contact our Customer Service department immediately, to arrange a replacement or a full refund.
Generous 15 Day Return Policy
If you aren't absolutely delighted with your purchase, don't worry - you won't be stuck with an item you cannot use or that you do not want. (Note: If your item was damaged or defective, see our Damaged Goods section above). You may return your purchase for any reason within 15 days of receipt for an exchange or a refund of the purchase price excluding our shipping and handling costs.
If you decide you would like to return an item you must contact our Customer Service Department within fifteen (15) days of the delivery of your order as indicated on the shipping company's proof of delivery. Please note that we are unable to accept returns without prior approval, and that we will refuse delivery of unauthorized merchandise returns. All items must be returned in original packaging and the item must be received in new undamaged resaleable condition.
Please keep in mind that once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If you refuse an order, it will then fall under our standard return policy, where roundtrip shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
You must keep all of the original packaging materials. You are responsible for re-packing the items safely in their original packaging for return. Returns are NOT accepted without original packaging. All items must be returned in original packaging and the item must be received in new undamaged resaleable condition. Any alterations made to the product after delivery in any way will be grounds for refusal of your return.
