This tightknit family of nine travels extensively throughout the United States playing bluegrass gospel music together. Since playing their first concert in 2002, they have been recognized for their gifts and talents. The Balos Family are members of the IBMA, Bluegrass Gospel Association, Niles Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and they've served as cohosts for the Bean Blossom Gospel Bluegrass Jubilee.

A unique blend of country/folk/gospel and a touch of the contemporary influence has gained John audiences in a wide variety of settings. His voice is easy to listen to and his message reaches everyone through humor, true life stories and a love for people. Four garden-club ladies have met a young girl who has come to their little Texas town to marry an infantryman before he is shipped off for World War II. Lives and friendships are thrown into turmoil as the women impulsively decide to throw the girl an elaborate wedding in one frenzied afternoon. Humor and sentiments are nicely combined in this two-act play. The captivating local cast will laugh and cry their way through life's struggles.
