MIDDLEBURY, IN - Das Dutchman Essenhaus is in the planning and development stages of their seventh annual Quilt Garden. In cooperation with the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Essenhaus is participating in a county-wide event that unites quilters and gardeners alike.

The seasonal tour, which includes nineteen (19) large-scale living Quilt Gardens and twenty (20) Quilt Murals will begin May 27, 2013, and run through September. A variety of quilt patterns will be planted in gardens and hand-painted in murals on or around businesses throughout Elkhart County.

Quilt Gardens...along the Heritage Trail marries a popular tradition of Amish culture with the agricultural community. Local residents, Gary and Linda Henderson worked together to incorporate a popular quilting design made entirely of flowers. The Essenhaus Quilt Garden will be planted in May and will include seven (7) types of annual flowers in a 'Dresden plate" quilt design.

The Henderson's who have also created the first six Quilt Gardens for the Essenhaus, chose the "Dresden plate" pattern for its simplicity and elegance but also because the Essenhaus is Indiana's largest family restaurant and the plate theme fit nicely.

The 2013 Quilt Garden at Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be home to roughly 7,700 plants and will be in its prime in mid-July through mid-September. Local residents and tourists are welcome to visit the garden located behind the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center.

MIDDLEBURY, IN - The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be the host site of a weekly classic car cruise-in during the summer months with no participation or entry fee. This will be the eighth season for the popular and well attended activity. The main campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus is located at 240 U.S. 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

Beginning May 2nd, 2013, and every Thursday evening through September, local collectors and enthusiasts as well as regional car clubs are invited and encouraged to drive their classic cars to the Essenhaus campus.

With many local participants taking advantage of showcasing their own vehicles, Hannah Walsh, Events Coordinator states, "...2013 will be another fun-filled season! Cruise our way and enjoy an evening of entertainment."

The weekly cruise-in events are scheduled each Thursday evening from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm May through September. Participants will also enjoy door prize giveaways, coupons for shopping and dining, and 50's-style music each Thursday evening. Most evenings, hand dipped ice cream and live entertainment will be provided. Tourists and local guests are welcome to visit.

MIDDLEBURY, IN - A unique event that combines fashion, home decor, dining, instruction and door prize giveaways will be held in April at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

The annual event is sponsored by the Essenhaus Village Shops and will be held in the Conference Center located on the campus. Guests may choose to attend one of four different show times; Wednesday, April 24, one show is held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 25, a show is held at 11:00am and again at 6:00pm. MIDDLEBURY, IN - Kathy Kallick is a Grammy Award winner and the recipient of two IBMA awards for her part on True Life Blues: The Songs of Bill Monroe. She has been leading bands since 1975 and continues to evolve as one of the music's extraordinary composers and vocalists. Kathy and her band will perform at Essenhaus Heritage Hall in Middlebury, Indiana, to provide an evening of live bluegrass entertainment.

There is often a tendency to think of West Coast bluegrass as being softer, jazzier and somehow different than traditional. This can be the case, but there is also a school of bluegrass in northern California which has, from the beginning, been steeped in Monroe-based tradition as well as welcoming to women and original songs. Joe Ross of Bluegrass Now stated, "As a songwriter, she knows how to pen beautiful impressionistic pieces with memorable contemporary messages."

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Northern Indiana Biblical Drama Association in cooperation with Das Dutchman Essenhaus will present Peter: The ROCK! With a strong Christian cast, this Bible-based dramatic performance is scheduled to be held just prior to Easter.

From the Communion to the Resurrection, audience members will witness the journey thta Peter and the disciples experienced during those three days that transformed our spiritual lives. With a cast of forty members, the actors will offer four different performance times over three days; Thursday, March 28th (7pm), Friday, March 29th (7pm), and Saturday, March 30th (2pm & 7pm).

The productions will be held at Essenhaus Heritage Hall located directly across Wayne Street from the main Essenhaus campus. The cast of forty local northern Indiana residents will interpret various scenes that will also include several vocal selections. Dania Cuerto, President of Northern Indiana Biblical Drama Association stated, "...you may catch a glimpse of what God did for us, giving us His only son for our sins."

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Popular northern Indiana bluegrass band, Conley-Schmidt, will visit Heritage Hall in Middlebury, Indiana, to provide an evening of live entertainment. Vocalists and musicians have come and gone but as time marches on, the group Conley-Schmidt just gets better...the harmonies get sweeter and the instrumentals just get tighter.

The group has performed together for more than twenty years, playing in churches, concert halls, at fairs and bluegrass festivals. Their latest album, Sweet Memories, includes a nice mix of bluegrass and mountain country as well as five songs written by Stephen Schmidt and Orie Conley. MIDDLEBURY, IN - Entertainers, Stacy Grubb and Clay Hess, along with The Clay Hess Band, will visit Heritage Hall in MIddlebury, Indiana, to provide an evening of live bluegrass entertainment.

Stacy Grubb's sound blends elements of bluegrass, country, pop, soul and gospel, all of which can be heard on her debut album, "Hurricane". She grew up in the Appalachian hills of West Virginia, in McDowell County. In 2004, Stacy joined her dad's music group, The McDowell County Project and Ron Block, of Alison Krauss and Union Station has stated, "She's a top notch singer and writer plus she's country and real."

Clay Hess is a Grammy award winner who first burst upon the national bluegrass music scene as a guitarist with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. In 1995, Clay won the Ohio State Guitar Championship and at age 19, was hired to play guitar with the band, True Blue, at Dollywood. In 1999, he got the call to fill the guitar slot for Kentucky Thunder which he did for three years before stepping out on his own.

Friday, February 22nd, Stacy Grubb and Clay Hess will be featured during a concert at Essenhaus Heritage Hall beginning at 7:00pm. MIDDLEBURY, IN - The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be the host site of an all-gauge train show Saturday, February 16, 2013. Beginning at 9:00am until 2:30pm, collectors, enthusiasts and anyone interested in trains is invited to attend this event. The activities will be held throughout the entire campus in various locations and will also include special displays and children's craft areas in the Village Shops. Guests are invited to view multiple functional displays and speak with fellow collectors. A complimentary shuttle service will be available to transfer guests from the restaurant to the Conference Center, Heritage Hall and Village Shops.

Vendors will be showcased and train repair and sales will be taking place throughout the day. Admissioon fees have been established at $3.00 per person or $6.00 per family with children 7 and under admitted at no charge. As an added perk, guests will receive ten percent off their entire meal purchase with their paid admission to the show or a one dollar discount off the show admission fee by presenting their meal receipt.

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Bluegrass band, Nightflyer, will visit Heritage Hall in Middlebury, Indiana, to provide an evening of live entertainment.

One of the most entertaining bands from southwestern Ohio, Nightflyer, combines talented vocals and brilliant instrumentals to the delight of their audiences across the United States. The band announced on their website (www.NightFlyerBand.com) that they're traveling the bluegrass festival circuit and they feel they're making a strong positive impression on the fans fo the genre. Tony Kakaris (stand up bass), Rick Hayes (mandolin), Ronnie Stewart (banjo), Tim Jackson (dobro) and Richard Propps (guitar) play a marvelous mix of straight-ahead bluegrass versions of popular current country music songs to banjo-driven classic bluegrass numbers.

Strong vocals are delivered by all band members as nearly all of them are featured on at least one vocal selection. Close knit harmonies are combined in each song along with instrumentals featuring each member of this talented band.

Beginning at 9:00 am until 2:30 pm, collectors, enthusiasts and anyone interested in toys is invited to attend this event. The event will be held in the restaurant building and will include an operating train display for viewing. The main campus is located at 240 US 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

A variety of vendors will be showcased throughout the day. Collections of die-cast toys, dolls, vintage games, trucks, miniatures and tractors will be featured at this event. This event encourages the residents of the Middlebury community and guests visiting the campus to vote on their favorite decorated tree. The 2-day event will be held November 16^th (10:00 am to 8:00 pm) and November 17^th (9:00 am to 8:00 pm).

The event will be held in the Essenhaus Village Shops, Restaurant and Inn. Patrons are welcome to leisurely stroll through the shops to view over 30 Christmas trees that have been decorated for the Christmas season. The public is invited to attend and there is no cost to participate.

Pocket-sized printed guides will be available at all registers. Beautiful and unique themed trees will be on display and upon selecting their favorite tree, guests’ names will be entered into a drawing to win 1 of 3 gift baskets. MIDDLEBURY, IN - A delightful event for the young lady in your life and the doll she most loves will be held at Essenhaus Heritage Hall in Middlebury, Indiana. The theme for the evening is "A Night at the Zoo".

This special event is being planned for girls of all ages and their favorite doll. Das Dutchman Essenhaus is hosting the evening's activities at Heritage Hall just steps away from the restaurant building on Wayne Street/C.R. 15. Choose to attend either Friday, September 14th or Saturday, September 15th with doors opening at 5:30 pm and dinner beginning at 6:00 pm both evenings.

During check-in and registration, participants will have time to browse the special product displays and take part in a live photo opportunity. During the meal, live entertainment in the form of a theater production entitled, "A Night at the Zoo" will be featured to entertain everyone in attendance.

Bluegrass Family Band to Perform

MIDDLEBURY, IN - International Bluegrass Musical Association members, Mountain Faith, will visit Essenhaus Heritage Hall in Middlebury, Indiana, to provide an evening of live entertainment. Mountain Faith, based in Sylva, North Carolina, has served as opening band for several of bluegrass' finest musicians. They have shared the stage with Dailey & Vincent, Ralph Stanley, Marty Stuart and the Inspirations.

With a beginning in Southern gospel music, Sam McMahan became interested in bluegrass music when his children began to show an interest in playing a variety of instruments. Daughter, Summer Brooke McMahan, and son, Brayden McMahan, have been playing bluegrass music since before the age of ten. Friday, August 17th, Mountain Faith will be featured during a concert at Essenhaus Heritage Hall beginning at 7:00pm. Dr. Mark Pruett, of Balsam Range, states, "...they bring joy to their listeners through their youthful approach and skilled technique."

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Washington state resident, Wanda Brunstetter, will be visiting Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana, to conduct and autograph session. Ms. Brunstetter is a best-selling author of non-fiction novels about the Amish which are available for sale at the Essenhaus campus.

Intrigued by writing since she was a child, Brunstetter took a course on writing for children and teenages in 1980. At that point, she became serious about a career as an author and began to write stories, articles, poems and devotionals which appeared in various Christian publications.

Fascinated by the Amish culture and community during frequent trips over many years to Pennsylvania to visit her husband's family, Wanda combined her interest in Amish with her talent in writing. MIDDLEBURY, IN - Das Dutchman Essenhaus announces the fifth annual Essenhaus Quilt Show and Sale which celebrates quilts and those who create them. The 2-day event will be held Friday, August 10th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 11th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The event will be held at the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center on the main campus where the restaurant and Essenhaus Village Shops are located. The public is invited to attend and admission will be $3.00 per person.

Beautiful and unique quilts will be on display and cash awards will be presented for "best of" in several categories including best use of theme - "Around the Bend". Individuals may choose to display quilts that they have crafted and they may do so at a cost of $5.00 per quilt. MIDDLEBURY, IN - Friday, June 29th, the Zephyr Woodwind Quintet will bring their classical styling to Essenhaus Heritage Hall for a free evening of live entertainment. The group was formed in the fall of 2011 by a group of musicians who were also long-time friends. They wanted to explore offering classical music in a smaller setting then the symphony orchestra setting they were accustomed to.

Members of the Zephyr Woodwind Quintet perform locally in the Elkhart Municipal Band, the Elkhart County Symphony and the Maple City Chamber Orchestra. The musicians love the special blend of instruments that comprise the quintet and enjoy sharing its unique sound with the community.

With Andrew Blount (French horn), Heidi Eash (oboe), Kathy Plank (flute), Kate Irelan (clarinet) and Ken Hanson (basoon), Zephyr will be featured during the evening at Essenhaus Heritage Hall beginning at 7:00pm.

Admission for this concert is free to all local guests in attendance. A free will donation will be accepted with all the proceeds going to benefit two local Middlebury charities; the Boys & Girls Club and the Food Pantry.

This will be the inaugural show, similar in format to the popular Classic Car Cruise In held on the property. Saturday, June 23rd, 2012, from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, local collectors, farmers and enthusiasts as well as regional tractor clubs are invited and encouraged to display their favorite antique tractors on the Essenhaus campus.

Hannah Walsh, Events Coordinator states, "Guests will enjoy the variety of antique tractors on display and the live demonstrations of local woodcarvers. We look forward to everyone joining us for a day full of fun and prizes."

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Friday, May 18th, the Spinney Brothers, Canada's International award-winning bluegrass band, bring their perfect synergistic blend of tradition and distinctive homegrown sound to Essenhaus Heritage Hall. Allan and Rick, the Spinney Brothers, will provide and evening of live entertainment while also releasing their latest CD titled, "Memories", immediately following their concert.

The Spinney's, members of the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, embellish their homegrown sounds with the addition of Gary Dalrymple (mandolin) and Darryl Hebb (upright bass). In October, 2011, the Spinney Brothers performed on the main stage at the International Bluegrass Association's World of Bluegrass Convention in Nashville, TN. 7th Classic Car Cruise-In Season to Begin in May

MIDDLEBURY, IN - The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be the host site of a weekly classic car cruise-in during the summer months with no participation or entry fee. This will be the seventh season for the popular and well attended activity. The main campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus is located at 240 U.S. 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

Beginning May 3rd, 2012, and every Thursday evening through September, local collectors and enthusiasts as well as regioonal car clubs are invited and encouraged to drive their classic cars to the Essenhaus campus.

The weekly cruise-in events are scheduled each Thursday evening from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm May through September. Essenhaus to Host Bible-Based Dramatic Performance

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Northern Indiana Biblical Drama Association in cooperation with Das Dutchman Essenhaus will present Peter: The Rock! With a strong Christian cast, this Bible-based dramatic performance is scheduled to be held just prior to Easter.

From the Communion to the Resurrection, audience members will witness the journey that Peter and the disciples experienced during those three days that transformed our spiritual lives. With a cast of forty members, the actors will offer four different performance times over three days; Thursday, April 5th (7pm), Friday, April 6th (7pm), and Saturday, April 7th (2pm & 7pm).

The productions will be held at Essenhaus Heritage Hall located directly across Wayne Street from the main Essenhaus campus. The cast of forty local northern Indiana residents will interpret various scenes that will also include several vocal selections. Essenhaus Heritage Hall Opens

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Das Dutchman Essenhaus is pleased to announce the newest addition to the campus. Essenhaus Heritage Hall will be utilized for special events, activities, performances, meetings and as a rental facility beginning February 20th, 2012. The building is located across Wayne Street steps away from the main campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus.

Originally, all special events planned on-site were located primarily in the restaurant building. As time passed and the attendance grew at such activities, it was determined to add Heritage Hall to meet the needs of the guests. Following several weeks of minor renovation and organization, the business is looking forward to utilizing the space for the busy summer season.

Das Dutchman Essenhaus hosts a wide variety of special events and activities throughout the year and the additional 3,000 square feet that Heritage Hall offers will provide, "...a venue for entertainment that has charm, flexibility and convenience that we hope will be a benefit to our entire community.", states Jeff Miller, Operations Manager.

MIDDLEBURY, IN - A unique event that combines instruction, demonstration and interaction centered around cooking will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

This unique event is sponsored by the Essenhaus Village Shops and will be held in the restaurant building on the second floor from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm. MIDDLEBURY - The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus announces the second annual Toy Show on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Beginning at 9:30 am until 3:00 pm, collectors, enthusiasts and anyone interested in toys is invited to attend this event. The event will be held in the restaurant building and will include two operating train displays for viewing. The main campus is located at 240 U.S. 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

A variety of vendors will be showcased throughout the day. Collections of die-cast toys, dolls, vintage games, trucks, action figures, miniatures and tractors will be featured at this event. MIDDLEBURY, IN – Das Dutchman Essenhaus has announced a unique seasonal musical offering December 2nd and December 3rd. Directed by Mary Norwood, of the Mary Norwood Choral Studio, the event will feature vocal performances by Elkhart County students of all ages and will be held at the corner of Northridge Drive and Wayne Street.

Local residents are invited to attend and enjoy a wide variety of music styles including popular seasonal selections provided by talented youth in the Middlebury community. MIDDLEBURY – Due to popular request, Das Dutchman Essenhaus is pleased to announce the return of an option developed in late 2010. ‘Take Home Thanksgiving Dinners’ will be available for pick up on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. The Essenhaus staff will prepare and package traditional Thanksgiving Dinner menu options that guests can pre-order well in advance and pick up one day prior to Thanksgiving Day.

“Our guests have asked us to offer this opportunity,” states Randi Yoder, Restaurant Manager, “so we created a budget-friendly Thanksgiving feast that will be packaged to serve five, ten or twenty people.” Guests will have several options from which to choose and each take home dinner will come complete with reheating instructions and a choice of pie.

Essenhaus Quilt Show Award Winners Announced

MIDDLEBURY – The fourth annual Essenhaus Quilt Show and Sale was held August 11, 12, and 13, 2011, at the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center on the main campus of the property where the Restaurant and Essenhaus Village Shops are located. The show was designed to celebrate quilts, the fine art of quilting, and those who create quilts. Vendors, free workshops and live demonstrations were part of the event. Local guilds worked to complete a quilt topper designed to duplicate the “Pinwheel” quilt pattern” which is the design used in the 2011 Essenhaus quilt garden.

MIDDLEBURY – A unique event that combines young ladies and their favorite doll centered around friendship will be held at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

This special event is being planned for girls of all ages and their favorite doll. Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana is hosting the event on Friday, September 16th beginning with check-in at 5:15 PM (event time at 6:00 pm) and on Saturday, September 17th beginning with check-in at 11:15 AM (event time at 12:00 pm). The events will be held in the restaurant building.

During check-in and registration, participants will have time to play games, enjoy a make-it and take-it craft experience and browse the special product displays. Following the meal, a program and skit featuring a ‘camping under the stars’ theme will take place, as well as door prize giveaways.

Local Textile Appraiser to Visit Das Dutchman Essenhaus

MIDDLEBURY – Donna Kooistra, AQS certified and textile appraiser, will provide an evening of entertainment at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN. Donna will highlight how quilts have evolved and changed throughout the course of history as she unravels the traditions and designs of “Quilts through the Times”. Ms. Kooistra has a vast amount of experience with creating, judging and appraising quilts and will engage quilters of all ages during her visit.

The 3-day event will be held August 11^th through August 13^th beginning at 10:00 am each day through 7:00 pm Thursday and Friday and 4:00 pm on Saturday.

Beautiful and unique quilts will be on display and cash awards will be presented for best hand-stitched, best machine stitched free hand, best machine stitched computer, best pieced entry, best appliqué, best vintage (completed before 1959), best of show, people’s choice and best use of theme – Celebrations. Individuals may choose to display quilts that they have crafted and they may do so at a cost of $5.00 per quilt. The Essenhaus Quilt Show runs in conjunction with the Middlebury Summer Festival, a town-wide celebration of summer with festivities and live entertainment. 6th Annual Weekly Classic Car Cruise-In

MIDDLEBURY – The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be the host site of a weekly classic car cruise-in during the summer months with no participation or entry fee. This will be the sixth season for the popular and well attended activity. The main campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus is located at 240 U.S. 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

Beginning May 5th, 2011, and every Thursday evening through September, local collectors and enthusiasts as well as regional car clubs are invited and encouraged to drive their classic cars to the Essenhaus campus.

With many local participants taking advantage of showcasing their own vehicles, Joel Miller, Vice President of Development and Facilities states, “We have a great property with abundant parking that allows everyone attending to really enjoy their time here. We average more than 200 unique vehicles on display each week!”

The weekly cruise-in events are scheduled each Thursday evening from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm May through September. Guests will also enjoy door prize giveaways, coupons for shopping and dining, and 50’s-style music each Thursday evening. 11th Annual Home, Garden & Fashion Show

MIDDLEBURY – A unique event that combines fashion, home décor, dining, instruction, and door prize giveaways will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, and Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

The annual event is sponsored by the Essenhaus Village Shops and will be held in the Conference Center located on the campus. 9th Annual Cooking Show and Demonstration Event Complimentary to General Public

MIDDLEBURY – A unique event that combines instruction, demonstration, and interaction centered around cooking will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

The annual event is sponsored by the Essenhaus Village Shops and will be held in the restaurant building on the second floor from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm. No admission is charged and no reservations are accepted for this “open house” formatted event. Guests are encouraged to spend as much time as they choose and will receive cooking tips, demonstrations, food samples, recipes, and door prizes throughout the day. Party ideas and opportunities to interact with local vendors will also be offered. Six local demonstrators will be featured, one being Sherry Kehr, owner and operator of Wakarusa, Indiana based company, “Bread, It’s in the Bag”.

Sherry Gore, editor of the Pinecraft Pauper, Florida’s first Amish newspaper, is also the author of Taste of Pinecraft, which provides readers with a glimpse inside Florida’s Amish culture and kitchens. Sherry is a resident of Sarasota, Florida, and will be on-site from 11:45 am to 2:00 pm to conduct a book signing and discuss her life’s experiences. Ms. Gore will also be featured during a cooking seminar from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

Local Author to Visit During Toy Show

MIDDLEBURY – Northern Indiana resident, Rebecca Williams, will be visiting Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana, for a book signing and meet and greet. Williams, a first grade teacher, has penned a book based on her own childhood memories that centered around the first few snowflakes each winter.

“The First Snow of Winter” is a trip down memory lane for adults and an experience of expectation and fun for children. Williams’ first book, “The First Snow of Winter”, vividly describes how life and activity can be dramatically transformed with the first snowfall. Childhood memories along with her experience of seeing the excitement in her students’ eyes when the first snow arrives was the inspiration for the book.

Designed to be read by children ages six to nine, this selection will also be enjoyed by adults as they share their tales of growing up and enjoying their winter experiences with their children and grandchildren.

2nd Annual Train Show

MIDDLEBURY – The campus of Das Dutchman Essenhaus will be the host site of an all-gauge train show Saturday, February 19, 2011. Beginning at 9:30 am until 3:00 pm, collectors, enthusiasts, and anyone interested in trains is invited to attend this event. The event will be held on the second floor of the restaurant building, in the conference center and will also include special displays and children’s craft areas in the shops. The main campus is located at 240 U.S. 20 Middlebury, Indiana.

Vendors will be showcased and train repair, sales, and trading will be taking place throughout the day. Tour of Trees Announced

MIDDLEBURY – Das Dutchman Essenhaus announces their second annual Tour of Trees. This event encourages the residents of the Middlebury community and guests visiting the campus to vote on their favorite decorated tree. The 2-day event will be held November 19th (10:00 am to 8:00 pm) and November 20th (9:00 am to 8:00 pm).

The event will be held in the Essenhaus Village Shops, Restaurant and Inn. Patrons are welcome to leisurely stroll through the shops to view 40 Christmas trees that have been decorated for the Christmas season. The public is invited to attend and there is no cost to participate.

MIDDLEBURY – John Cohoat will be visiting Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana, to conduct an autograph session. Cohoat is the author of a book, “No Thank You, Mr. President” which is available for sale at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus campus.

The book profiles ten companies based in Elkhart County, Indiana, and details their individual experiences during the recent economic turmoil. MIDDLEBURY – A unique event that combines instruction, demonstration, and interaction centered around crafting and friendship will be held at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.

This special event is being planned for girls of all ages and their favorite doll. Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana is hosting the event on Friday, September 17th beginning at 5:15 PM and on Saturday, September 18th beginning at 11:15 AM. The events will be held in the restaurant building.

During check-in and registration, participants will have time to browse the “Book Nook”, enter a coloring contest and complete a “make-it and take-it” craft class. Following the meal, which includes a special seat at the table for each doll, the product showcase and program featuring a County Fair theme will take place. Live cooking and crafting demonstrations will be included in the program as well as door prize giveaways. July Jubilee Planned for Week of July 5th at Das Dutchman Essenhaus

MIDDLEBURY – The Essenhaus Village Shops will host a week-long celebration at the Essenhaus campus in Middlebury, Indiana with special events and activities planned each day.

Monday, July 5: Irvin Hoover, still life photographer and tinsmith visits the restaurant building from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and again from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Mr. Hoover will be in the family-style dining lobby to conduct an autograph session, answer questions and discuss his experiences during his visit.

Tuesday, July 6: Dan Thornhill, creator of hand-made jewelry and spoon rings, is scheduled to visit The ClothesLine from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm to discuss the return of this vintage jewelry.

Wednesday, July 7: Zany Bandz, stretchy animal shaped bracelets that children can wear, share or collect are a hot new trend. A Zany Bandz free giveaway will take place from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on the 2nd floor of the restaurant building while supplies last!
